The workshop aims to familiarise participants with methods for preparing and developing documentation subject to formal, legal and quality requirements, such as grant eligibility criteria and research regulations. Participants will acquire practical knowledge of how to organise their working environment and documentation and how to produce extensive, unambiguous documents that comply with strict formal requirements. They will learn how to accelerate work involving large volumes of documentation, facilitate information retrieval, and preserve the integrity of sections that have already been reviewed and approved as final.
The course covers the use of different AI tools, considering both their capabilities and limitations. It also includes demonstrations and practical exercises allowing participants to apply these tools to their own research documentation. During the workshop we will design a workflow that streamlines the preparation of extensive documents and also develop a reusable workflow template for accelerating the drafting process on the basis of a defined set of requirements and source materials.
The course is intended for researchers and professionals responsible for preparing complex grant proposals or comparable applications which require a substantial investment of time. It will be particularly valuable to those seeking to produce highly structured documentation more efficiently while maintaining rigorous standards of quality and formal compliance.
The course provides scope for an individualised approach to the problems presented by participants. They are encouraged to prepare their own discipline-specific documentation in advance, which may be used during practical exercises during workshop. Such materials may include rules, application forms, discipline-specific guidelines, and strategy documents. Participants who do not have their own materials will be provided with sample documentation by the instructor.
Upon completion of the workshop, participants will receive a certificate of completion by email.

Dr Joanna Siwek is a researcher in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Her research focuses on the development of artificial intelligence algorithms, particularly mobile robot swarms equipped with empathic reasoning capabilities. She also investigates applications of fuzzy sets in finance and decision theory.
Dr Siwek is the head of the Computer Science degree programme at the Faculty. Her teaching activities encompass cloud computing, applications of fuzzy sets, the integration of business and economics with computer science, and artificial intelligence in the context of artificial empathy. She collaborates with Poznań University of Technology, Poznań University of Economics and Business, and the Institute of Computer Science and Cognitive Science in Catania, Italy.
