The workshop focuses on the use of artificial intelligence tools in teaching. Participants will explore how AI models and tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, and Canva can support lesson planning, the preparation of educational materials, and work with students. The course will also address the specific needs of students from Generations Z and Alpha, as well as the ethical and practical principles of using AI from the perspectives of teachers, students, and programme administrators.
During the workshop, participants will gain practical knowledge of using AI to find and process sources, summarise content, and prepare transcripts, reports, mind maps, tests, flashcards, and other educational materials. They will also learn how to use AI for editing, paraphrasing, translating, and proofreading texts, as well as formatting citations and bibliographies.
The course also covers the use of AI to create presentations, posters, images, charts, graphs, and interactive visualisations. Participants will learn how to generate and improve code used in data analysis and how to explain complex parts of analyses and programs. The course will present both the capabilities and limitations of these tools, including methods for assessing the quality of their outputs and issues related to identifying AI-generated content.
The course is intended for university teachers, researchers, doctoral students, and others who prepare classes or educational materials. It will be particularly useful for those who wish to plan their teaching more efficiently, create engaging materials, explain complex topics more clearly, and use AI tools responsibly when working with students.
Upon completion of the workshop, participants will receive a certificate of completion by email.

Dr Joanna Siwek is a researcher in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Her research focuses on the development of artificial intelligence algorithms, particularly mobile robot swarms equipped with empathic reasoning capabilities. She also investigates applications of fuzzy sets in finance and decision theory.
Dr Siwek is the head of the Computer Science degree programme at the Faculty. Her teaching activities encompass cloud computing, applications of fuzzy sets, the integration of business and economics with computer science, and artificial intelligence in the context of artificial empathy. She collaborates with Poznań University of Technology, Poznań University of Economics and Business, and the Institute of Computer Science and Cognitive Science in Catania, Italy.
