Description of the publication:

Flaxseed oil cake improves basil (Ocimum basilicum L.) yield under drought stress by increasing herb biomass and quality of essential oil.

Our research delves into the effects of drought stress on basil, uncovering crucial insights into the plant’s adaptive mechanisms and highlighting the beneficial role of flaxseed oil cake (FOC) in alleviating these stress-induced impacts. Our contribution to the publication is statistics including correlation network analysis. Key highlights include reduced herbage yield and modified essential oil components due to drought stress, with FOC application altering plant specialized metabolites content. Notably, under drought conditions, FOC improved plant biomass and accumulation of linalool and methyl eugenol. The study emphasizes the enhanced nitrogen levels in plant tissues and substrates and identifies fresh weight, dry weight, and methyl eugenol as ‘hub’ traits correlated with most traits. Two-way ANOVA, principal components analysis (PCA), and correlation networks were applied to associate the data.

Meta-analysis of flavonoids with antiviral potential against coronavirus.

We present the results of our work on the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. This is a meta-analysis of flavonoids with antiviral potential against coronavirus. We analyzed data containing information about crucial metabolites that neutralize coronavirus: rhoifolin, pectolinarin, and herbacetin. In this publication, we focus on identifying the best sources for obtaining these metabolites. Our research may contribute to the effective isolation of these compounds for drug development.
